We value your privacy and data security. By using MiniAD, you agree to this policy. MiniAD connects directly to your own Active Directory domain controllers to provide mobile directory administration.
MiniAD ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, stores, and protects your information while interacting with your Active Directory environment.
Important: MiniAD acts as a secure client to your own directory infrastructure. We do not operate servers that store your directory data. All LDAP communication occurs directly between your device and the domain controllers you configure. ConnectIT Technologies never receives, sees, or stores your directory contents or credentials.
To connect to your domain, MiniAD stores the following on your device only:
Credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore, encrypted by the operating system and protected by your device passcode or biometrics. They are transmitted only to the domain controllers you specify, and never to ConnectIT Technologies or any third party.
MiniAD reads and writes directory objects on your behalf, including:
This data is fetched live from your domain controllers for display and is held in memory for the duration of your session. It is not uploaded to ConnectIT Technologies, and it is not retained after you sign out.
When you perform an administrative action in MiniAD — such as resetting a password, unlocking an account, enabling or disabling a user, or modifying group membership — that change is written directly to your domain controller over your configured LDAP connection.
Important: Passwords you set through MiniAD are transmitted only to your domain controller. MiniAD does not log, cache, or retain reset passwords after the operation completes. Your domain's own auditing and event logs remain the system of record for all administrative changes.
MiniAD stores your app preferences locally, including saved connection profiles, saved searches, display and sorting options, and appearance settings. These remain on your device.
If you opt in to sharing diagnostics through your platform's standard reporting, we may receive:
These reports are aggregated and anonymized by Apple or Google. They do not contain your directory data or credentials.
Important: If you choose to connect over unencrypted LDAP (port 389) rather than LDAPS, credentials and directory data travel your network without transport encryption. We strongly recommend LDAPS, and recommend reaching your domain only over a trusted network or VPN.
We do not sell your information. We have no access to your directory data, so there is nothing for us to share.
Uninstalling MiniAD removes all locally stored credentials, profiles, and preferences from your device.
Because MiniAD processes directory data locally and communicates directly with your domain controllers, data rights regarding your directory contents (Access, Correction, Deletion) are exercised through your own Active Directory environment and your organization's administrators.
To revoke MiniAD's access to your domain, sign out of the app, delete the saved connection profile, or disable or change the password of the account you authenticated with in Active Directory.
MiniAD is an administrative tool intended for IT professionals. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy when we add new features or change how the app interacts with your directory environment.
Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of changes.
